Welcome

Checking out a new church can be an intimidating experience with so many questions:

  • What should I wear?
  • What will the service be like?
  • Is there anything for my kids?

Here at Hepburn MB we value community and want you to feel comfortable when you’re with us. Below is some information that may help you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Service Times

We choose to gather together each Sunday morning at 9:30 am for a time of worship and learning together. When our service ends (around 10:45), it’s time for coffee and classes (coffee & tea served by our very own MBistro). We invite you to stick around and enjoy a cup with us, and if you want, check out a class. (See more below about what’s for kids!)

What to wear

People choose to wear what they are comfortable in, so for some that means casual attire (e.g., jeans!) and for others slightly more dressy attire. We are thrilled that you are joining us and we’re confident that you will fit in whatever you choose to wear.

What you can expect during a service

A service will consist largely of worship music and a teaching time. We value staying connected with one another, so we also take time to share announcements and news.

Our worship singing is led by a worship leader and team who incorporate not only a variety of contemporary and traditional songs but also Scripture, readings and prayer.

Our teaching time centers around the good news of Jesus found in the Bible. You can expect to be encouraged and challenged by one of our pastors or other members of our church as they lead us into an encounter with the always transforming Word of God.

Is there anything for my kids?

Yes! Families are a valued part of our church family and we aim to provide engaging, fun and age-appropriate programming for ages 0-18. For our youngest members (age 0-1) we have a Infant Room attached to the main foyer.

During September to June there is a supervised Toddler Room during the service for ages 1-4, located in the lower level.  The Service Leader will dismiss this group of children at the right time during the service and parents will taken them downstairs.

Following the conclusion of our main gathering, beginning at 10:50 am we have classes for all ages. If your child is age 2 to Grade 8 head to our main check in station in the East Foyer. Kids are checked in for their class which are grouped by age/grade.

Youth in grades 9-12 head over to The Workshop (east side of the parking lot) for class.

All classes are run by dedicated, caring volunteers who strive to build relationships with the kids in their small group.

Adults are welcome to enjoy MBistro and visit with one another in the foyer area or join in our adult class which takes place in the sanctuary. This class focuses on how we as a church community can live out the sermon we just heard, as well as other current events and issues.

How else can I connect?

From September to June we offer a variety of weekly events including Senior and Junior High Youth nights, small groups,  men’s nights, women’s ministry evenings and other adult and family events. Please check out our ministries page for more information.
